Lehenga - Sabyasachi  Jewellery - Dru

Brace yourself! The blog is going to be flooded with shoots the team and I did in Jaipur, honestly I couldn’t help myself! It’s truly a beautiful city, so much that we extended our shoot schedule by a day because we just dint have enough.

First one from the series has to be this gorgeous Sabyasachi lehenga that we shot at the Amer also known as Amber fort in Jaipur. Shooting this look was quite an experience. Here’s why!

So we woke up bright and early at about 6:00 am to get started with hair and makeup, by 7:30 am we were on our way to the location. The reason we decided to go this early was because we figured that the fort might be fairly empty for us to shoot at, and also to witness the elephants that walk around the fort from 8am to 11am. But turns out foreign tourists also prefer starting early, and the fort was actually quite crowded for 8am.

There I was dressed head to toe in a heavy lehenga, which made all the tourists want to take pictures with me, it almost felt like a mini meet-up 😛 After a point I had to request the tourists to let me finish with the shoot after which we could take all the pictures they wanted to.

I decided to shoot this Sabya lehenga that I wore for my brothers wedding reception about 4 years ago, I absolutely wanted to do a shoot wearing Sabyasachi in Rajasthan.

I went the traditional route and went all out with the jewellery, which I think the location and outfit combined demanded.

Hope you like what we shot and stay tuned for a lot (A LOT) more. 😉

Hugs!
