Product Review: Garnier Fructis Strengthening Shampoo & Conditioner

garnier shampoo review

So its been around 30 days since I last posted on the blog announcing that I will be giving the new “garnier fructis triple nutrition strengthening shampoo and conditioner” a go. [Previous Post] Ever since I’ve been loyally using this duo and now I have a verdict on weather the shampoo and conditioner is worth giving a try or not.

About The Products

The shampoo and conditioner claim to strengthen your hair & nourish your scalp after every wash. Its key ingredients are coconut, almond and olive oil.

Texture: The texture of the shampoo is quite runny. The shampoo lathers up well when used the second time while washing your hair. The conditioner is quite thick (which is what I prefer for conditioners) and needs to be rinsed well to get all the product out.

Smell: The smell is something that I love the most about this product! It’s quite fruity but not excessively strong. Leaves your hair smelling good after every wash.

Packaging: the packaging is also quite attractive. The product comes in a sunshine yellow bottle with green accents to it. Comes in a 175ml bottle (both shampoo & conditioner)

My current hair routine & condition

Routine: I wash my hair around 3 times a week, and shampoo my hair twice every time I wash it just to be sure that my hair is super clean followed by conditioner, keeping it on for around 5 minutes. I usually avoid using a hair dryer to dry my hair, unless I’m in a hurry. And once my hair is completely dry I just apply some Moroccan oil to the tips and across the length of my hair. I also try to oil my hair with pure coconut oil at least once a week, and leave it in over night.

Current Condition: As I mentioned previously, my hair is straight and the texture is smooth and not excessively frizzy. The only concern I was facing was moderate hair fall and breakage. I was also considering getting some medical help and now when I think about it, it was quite brave of me to give a new shampoo and conditioner a go without any medical guidance inspite of having hair fall. But I did, and here’s what my current hair condition is like!

A week into trying the shampoo out, I had noticed that my hair fall had reduced considerably, I wasn’t quite sure then if it’s the shampoo or is it just because I’ve been taking extra care. And now that it’s been around 30 days since I’ve been using these garnier products I can happily say that there has been a dramatic difference between the amount of hair fall I was facing earlier and now. Having said that, I am not quite sure if it’s the shampoo and conditioner that has helped! But I’m sure it did play a big role in making this difference. If you’re someone like me, who was facing moderate hair fall and looking for a new shampoo and conditioner, it’s worth giving these products a shot!

Another thing I would like to point out is the way my hair feels after every hair wash, the first time I used the shampoo I had to recheck if I actually used the shampoo to wash my hair or did I accidentally use the conditioner instead! The shampoo leaves my hair feeling very soft after every hair wash, making it really manageable and silky.

Final Verdict

Yes, I would definitely recommend the shampoo and conditioner, as I’ve found no particular reason to not love it! I am in fact going to continue using them as I am currently on my second bottle of the shampoo. I am glad that I chose to actually be a part of the happy hair challenge as I found a shampoo and conditioner that’s actually working for me!

Thank you for such a wonderful article dear and from my side I want to say that i am using strengthening shampoo from long for my hair and its really effective. This gentle cleansing, sulfate-free, color safe shampoo was specially created to bring relief to damaged, brittle, over processed and color treated hair. Straightening, perming or any other style treatment which uses heat, drains hair of natural moisture leaving your curls or coils dry, brittle and prone to breakage.
