Hey Burberry, thank you for bringing ponchos back in vogue so to say but in a much stylish manner! We have all been watching celebrities giving us major street style envy, strutting to the airport or just on the streets wearing their personalized Burberry ponchos.
The word poncho initially made me cringe majorly; it was just the most awkward looking top one could own! I mean what were we thinking in the early 2000’s wearing those knitted ponchos with tassels all over. But then this particular modification to the word poncho makes me happy. Its chic, comfy, and far from anything like the ponchos we saw a decade ago.
Todays post is about how awesome these shawl like ponchos are, they are especially amazing when you’re travelling since they double up as a blanket. If your not looking at investing in the Burberry one that’s not a problem at all, most of the high street stores are stocking these in various prints and colours. Mine is from a brand called Vila on Koovs.
I decided to tie a black belt around the top to synch in the waist and to also keep the poncho in place along with a pleated black skirt. For accessories I added some chunky bangles to compliment the tribal print. Finishing with grey shoes and a black bag.
