N.Y.E. 2017 Lookbook

Shooting this lookbook was so much fun since this was my first night shoot on the streets of Mumbai. It was way tougher than my team and I anticipated, because unfortunately you need permissions to shoot at most locations, Sigh. But hey! We pulled it off and it was overall a hella fun!

I curated 3 looks, keeping in mind 3 scales of NYE celebrations.

  • The over the top glam celebration
  • A chill house party
  • A commercial party or everything in between

Look 1: A Glam Affair

I was beyond excited to shoot in one of Amit Aggarwals gorgeous creations. I was able to attend his show this fashion week when he showcased this collection, and just then I was in awe of him and his work.

Beautiful detailing and feminine draped silhouettes. Here’s a link to his latest collection, all I want to say is that I think he is one of the finest designers we have in India today.

I picked this one shoulder gown, which drapes around your body perfectly. I think it’s such a great piece if you’re planning to go all out. I wanted the dress to be the centre of attention, so I only added my Bvlgari serpenti watch for accessories and had my hair up in a messy ponytail. For makeup, I went with a smoky eye to match the gown with a chocolate toned lip colour.

Look 2: The House Party

Now! Most of us prefer a super fun house party (including me) and the dress code for this party can totally be dance friendly and fuss free! So here’s how I would want to dress for one.

Picked this adorable embroidered satin crop top from designer Sunaina Khera and teamed it with navy blue loose fit trousers. Added matching white boots to finish up with silver hoops for accessories. My favourite addition to this look is the DKNY fanny pack, never imagined that I would I think this looks cool, but I’m all about it now! Really want to invest in the Gucci Marmont Belt Bag maybe.

Wanted my hair to be fuss free and fun, so went with messy waves. My tip for makeup would be to add some highlighter to get a pretty glow all night.

Look 3: Everything In Between

You can’t possibly go wrong with a pretty black dress, and here’s my take for 2017. Went for a fun feather finish black dress from Arabellaa and teamed it with this gorgeous diamond necklace from Mahesh Notandas. Subtle yet so beautiful. Also added this cropped trench from Arabellaa incase you’re going to be partying in cooler weather.

Pretty tousled hair and glowy makeup with berry lips finished up this look. Not to forget these ready to party shoes I picked from H&M.

I wanna know which one was your favourite look? And also what are you guys doing this NYE? 😀

A big hug to all my readers for being the best always. Love you guys so much!

And here’s wishing you a very very happy new year, may you welcome 2018 with lots of love and good health.

Yours truly,

The Everything in between look wasn’t favourite. I love the way you kept good distinctions among all of them keeping hair and makeup different in all. Those heels from H&M are amazing. Keep up the good work 🙂
