Gosh I love festivals, and who doesn’t? All that food to binge on, the decorations, quality time with family and friends and of course the clothes! If you’re like me, then you might relate to this article more. I have various types of outfits when it comes to Diwali. The dinner party outfit, the pooja outfit the casual dinner outfit and so on. This can get boring if you only end up sticking to lehengas and sari’s, we are so much more than that with so many amazing designers around.
Arpita Mehta is without doubt in my favourites list, her designs are so trendy and young and Im always pretty much in love with her entire collection season by season. This season she managed to create a fusion collection that was inspired by the beaches and the island life with a bright and pretty colour palette that included yellows, blues, pinks and whites.
I shot in two of my favourite pieces from this collection that I think could work very well this festive season and also for parties at weddings, I think these designs are so fun and young. Especially love the tassels and crochet detailing.
The Yellow Maxi Dress:
This dress came with a one shoulder cape, for added frills. And it could also be styled without the cape to recycle the outfit in the future. Everything about this outfit was a 100 to me.
For hair and makeup, Manisha from my team gave my hair those beachy waves with subtle dewy makeup. Added my seashell earrings from Arabellaa because these are so appropriate here with a clutch from House Of Bio that reads ‘Mashallah’ finishing up with metallic shoes.
This outfit had such pretty detailing! Mirror work on the top with colourful tassels, a crochet midi skirt along with a netted cape with frills. Outfit perfection!
Added a pop of orange to this look via my earrings and lip colour. And finished up with some khaki heels.
Hope you guys had the most amazing and blessed Diwali. Lots of love!
