Backstage at LFW F/W’16 Day 1 with TIGI

Fashion week is almost like a major festival but to be honest much bigger; by bigger I mean Bi-annual, 5 days long stressfully bigger. The preparations start months in advance and when its here it goes by so fast that we don’t even realise!

So it is fashion week right now, and I started the season as Bed Head by TIGI’s official blogger. The brand is the official hair partner at fashion week, and I was backstage the whole time on Day 1 to capture all the major hair trends that were being created by their team. I was also posting a ton of BTS and Instant updates on Instagram & twitter.

TIGI styled for 2 segments on Day 1, the first being the GYFA show where 8 young and talented winning designers chosen by Grazia India showcased their collections.

Look 1: The models were sporting a super cool low messy bun with rough ends, the top section was a clean slick section letting out a few fly aways on the forehead. This was to give a contrast between clean and messy.

Products used to achieve the look

  • Hair spray
  • Hair wax (To get some sheen)
  • Dry shampoo (To get rough ends at the back)

Look 2 was for designer labels Shift and Atsu. This look was infact a great example of how versatile it can be. The collection that Shift displayed was super easy going and relaxed as opposed to the collection showcased by Atsu which was high-glam with a black, white and gold colour pallete.

Team TIGI created a slick, pushed back, wet look with a deep side parting.

Products used to achieve the look

  • Hair sprays
  • Muse
  • Wax
  • Water sprays

Both the looks created on Day 1 were modern, simplistic yet extremely trendy. Cant wait to create these looks myself!
